From the Overflow {Part Two}
If you missed the first installment, be sure to read From the Overflow {Part One}.
---
As a writer, it is important that I continue to grow, learn, and allow new knowledge to change me.
If I want to have an influence on my readers, I must be constantly learning.
Only when I am overflowing with applied knowledge in my own life can I teach {and write} with the excitement and passion required to bring my readers into the learning process with me.
If I desire {and I do!!} to minister to you by speaking truth and encouragement into your life, I must first ask God to speak truth and encouragement into my life.I cannot share with you what I do not possess myself.

that is such an ongoing lesson for me. a mentor once said (quoting someone else, i think) that ministry happens in the wake of our pursuit of Christ. we cannot "do ministry" apart from that relationship (but oh, how i've tried.)
thankful for mercies new every morning:)
Oh, you're so full of good advice! Love it!
