{Deuteronomy 6.6-7}
{Deuteronomy 6.6-7} "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children."
Are you like me? Addicted to lists and sticky notes?
I constantly find myself needing reminders - I can't remember what I sat down to do five minutes after I sit down to do it!
God instructed the Israelites to remind their children about His love and wisdom often. They were to "impress" His Word on the hearts of their children.
Our responsibility as parents has not changed. We are still given the responsibility of impressing God's wisdom and love on our children's hearts - to remind them daily of His will for their lives.
What are some ways you impress God's Word on your children's hearts?

When my kids are watching a movie or cartoon that has a biblical lesson (because we can see them even if the creators of the shows didn't write them in on purpose) I pause the flick and explain how I see God in the story. We have some really good discussion that way. Recently, my daughter Monica 'saw God' in a situation her friend was going through..and she spoke up about it and it ministered peace and wisdom to her friend.
