{1 Peter 3.15} // We have HOPE!!
{1 Peter 3.15} "But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence..."
We have hope! In a world filled with bad news and sin, we have hope!

Last night, I had both kids in my recliner with me as we were watching the CBS Evening News. Normally, I don't really notice the gruesomeness of the news reports, but the reports on what is happening in Egypt were quite graphic. Jenny was paying more attention than normal and was asking questions about what was happening.
How do you explain political unrest turned violent to a four year old? How do you explain people walking around with blood on their faces? Is this the world in which our kids will grow up? One with continued violence and fighting?
It reminded me of a friend on Twitter earlier this week. She was catching up on the news, and it was all bad news. She asked if there was any good news...
I sent her this incredible news:
"In this world, we will have troubles. But Christ has overcome the world!"We have hope! This world is not our home - we are merely passing through. Our hope is for eternity in the presence of God!
