What I Wore Wednesday, 10.27.10
A number of my blogger friends have recently started linking up to a meme called "What I Wore Wednesday", showcasing their outfits from the week. At first, I was a bit hesitant to join in, because nobody really wants to see what I wear most days. But after talking with these godly women about it this weekend, I've decided to give it a shot, with a twist.
A Few Guidelines/Disclaimers:
- This is not about what I'm wearing. It's about the fact that I care enough about my husband and my children to get dressed for them and look presentable. It's about setting a tone of productivity for myself and my household. {See Get Along Home's post on Pajama Homeschooling? for a better explanation of this.}
- Though I may mention certain pieces by name, this is not going to be about the clothes and accessories I am or am not wearing. If I do mention a piece, it's most likely to bring attention to an incredibly talented person who has crafted it or the kind person who gifted me with it.
- I want my focus not to be on the clothes I wear on the outside, but on the character qualities I'm putting on inside.

I LOVE that you included a character quality!!
I love this! I often set out to truly get dressed for my husband and set a good example for my kids. I don't want my daughter to grow up seeing me only in pj's - just because I don't go to an office everyday!
Great wisdom in this blog - thanks for sharing with us all! Great challenge too!
Happy iFellowship Day! I hope you have a great Wednesday!
I find that I am so much more likely to be productive if I'm dressed versus the days I stay in sweats all day. It's truly a challenge, though, and I love the accountability that this weekly meme provides!
Ashley, I love that you're talking about looking presentable for your hubby! I didn't used to when the kids were small, but lately I've been trying to gussy myself up a little, just before he gets home, to show him that it matters to me. And I figure it's a good example for the kids, too!
