Who & Why Wednesday: God is SOVEREIGN

Who is God? God is SOVEREIGN: Daniel 4.17b; Daniel 2.20-22
That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth. - Psalm 83.18

Why do I care? God is sovereign - in control of all things. He has a plan (Romans 8.28) - everything is under His control and design. When I try to take matters into my own hands or worry about anything, it is sin. I must not only acknowledge that God is sovereign, but I must also trust Him to work all things together for my good - my being molded into the image of His Son. I can trust God with the small details of my life as well as the large details - He is in control and sovereign over all things!

yes... He is in control. I'm doing my best to find comfort in this today. It's already "one of those days" and I know that my God could make it all better. Why doesn't He? Yet, I will praise Him.

I understand that feeling. I find that I need a Scripture to cling to on those days when life seems to have it out for me - Daniel 3.17-18 is a great passage to cling to. Our God is able to deliver us, even if He chooses to do otherwise.

Praying for you today, sweet friend. May God bring you through refined by the fire you're facing!

I'd like the link-up post to include something along the same lines - Who is
God and Why do I care - but I'm not picky about it. Would love to have you
join in!
