A Week in Review, 9.24.10
Once again, I can't believe Friday has already arrived... where did this week go? I hit the ground running this week, and I don't think I ever caught up!
- Monday, I spent the morning on the phone calling around setting up our utilities and finalizing our last minute appointments in order to be able to close before the end of the month. Our closing is set for Thursday morning!
- Tuesday, the kids and I headed to the library for 2's story time and got the oil changed in the van.
- Wednesday, we were back to the library for 3's story time, shopped for our weekly groceries at Aldi, and had AWANA and prayer meeting in the evening.
- Thursday, we had a meeting with our lender in the morning, bought some more last minute things for the house, and got to spend some time checking out the latest stages of the home building process (we have flooring, cabinets, and more now).
- Oh, and I did school during the week too... it's been crazy!
- Saturday, we wandered around the blogosphere, and I shared frugal fall family fun ideas on Sunflower Schoolhouse.
- Sunday, I announced the AP Disciple's Cross giveaway winners.
- Monday, Danielle shared with us how building a temple is like being a mom, and I shared my review of A Hope Undaunted.
- Tuesday, I shared my top ten book reviews from 2010.
- Wednesday, our Who & Why series took a look at what it means that God is our GUIDE, and I guest posted on Marketplace Mommies about maximizing your productivity while minimizing your online time.
- Thursday, we were reminded of the command to pray for our government leaders and country.

I have to check out your book reviews! Sounds like it has been a busy week for you! How long have you been working on the home building process?
We found out about the possibility mid-March, signed the contract on April 30th, and plan to close on September 30th. It's all happened SO fast!
Thanks for stopping by!
Wow, Ashley, your house build went quickly! How wonderful when things all fall into place that way. Hopefully, the move will be just as smooth and things can settle down a bit.
I totally related to the temple/parenting thing. I think I'm finally out of my tough-mom season for a few weeks (or months, dare I say?). Thank you for the encouragement!
Okay...last week I managed to get through 1 of your blog recaps, maybe I'll do better this week...sorry, time just gets away!
Congrats on your closing, how exciting, good luck with the move!
Have a great weekend.
You certainly get a lot done, because I know that the little snippets of "what we did" is only the tip of the iceberg, especially when you add in that you "did school" too!
My week was good, even productive. And moderately peaceful, too.
We're at the library quite a bit too! Always a fun time. =)
I think that my little guy is just now getting to the age where he'd like to go to story time at the library. It's great that you take your kids there. :)
Thanks! We found out today that we'll be moving on Friday evening. It's going to be here before I know it!
Congrats on "graduating" from the tough-mom season of life! :) It's definitely a challenge - so glad Danielle was willing to share that post with us!
If you made it to my blog, you're doing better than I am! I'm struggling to get my posting done daily, and getting my posts linked up to my regular memes. Visiting blogs is WAY down on my list of things to get accomplished during this chaotic period of life. I'm hoping to be back in visiting mode in a few weeks! Thanks for stopping by!
Glad you had a good, productive, and peaceful week! I could use one of those right about now... :)
Let the chaos continue.
Jenny decided she was "too old" for the 2s class (since she's 3), but I really like the 2s teacher, and David's too little to sit through the whole 3s class, so we decided to try doing both for now. It's a nice way to start our day and get out of the house a few days a week. :)
It's a great time at our library - the books are usually related to a theme, and there's a craft at the end that goes along with the stories. I started taking Jenny when she turned 2, and we love going each week. :)
