L.I.F.E. by Ashley Pichea: Who & Why Wednesday: God is my PROVIDER

A few weeks ago, I shared the guide I'm using for my quiet times, based on the Lord's Prayer, with you. I also shared part two of the guide, when I shared the Top 10 Things I Need to Submit to God.

Today, I'd like to start a weekly MEME from part one of the guide, asking the questions: "Who is God?" and "Why do I care?" Each Wednesday, I'll share a name or characteristic of God and what it means to my life. You can either link up a similar post or leave your comments/reflections below. Let's call it: "Who & Why Wednesday".

Who is God? God is my PROVIDER: Philippians 4.19; 2 Corinthians 9.8-11

Why do I care? As I seek out and walk in His will, He will provide my every need. I do not need to worry about having enough money or clothes or food (Matthew 6.25ff), because He will provide whatever I need. I have seen this to be true so many times in my life. He always provides what is needed, often adding to the provision "extra" blessings.

Because He is my PROVIDER, I need to be less stingy with my giving. I also need to continue to be a good steward of what I have already been given. I need to hold my possessions with an open hand, allowing God to use them for His purposes - not my own.
