"No More Christian Nice Girl" by Paul Coughlin & Jennifer D. Degler

From the back cover:
No More Christian Nice Girl: When Just Being Nice--Instead of Good--Hurts You, Your Family, and Your FriendsTired of doing all you can for others while your relationships remain stuck in neutral - or are headed in reverse? Paul Coughlin and psychologist Jennifer Degler show how being nice can harm you and drain the life out of your relationships. They explore the keys to fulfillment at home, work, church, and even in the bedroom. You'll discover that emulating the real Jesus is the key to transforming from a Christian Nice Girl into an authentic, powerful woman of loving faith.
No More Christian Nice Girl takes me right back to our discussion on Wednesday about being focused on the goal (Philippians 3.14) and learning to say "no". It's okay to say "no" - in fact, it's a good thing sometimes! Our goal for this life is not to be "nice" - nice is only skin deep. Our goal is to run hard after Christ, being formed in His image - and sometimes nice doesn't cut it.

Grab a copy of this book and let me know what you think. Do you want to be a nice girl? Or do you want to run with abandonment after Christ?

Thanks to Bethany House Publishing for providing a copy of this book for review.
