Keeping Clean Clothes CLEAN
Having an 18mo boy has been a challenge for me. I honestly don't remember his sister being like this (although she was at the babysitter for 10 hours a day, five days a week). He is into EVERYTHING and on EVERYTHING. It has definitely challenged my creativity as I try to provide him with safe play areas.
One of his newest discoveries is how to open the dresser drawers. He and his sister share a dresser, and he has managed to figure out how to open three of the five drawers - emptying them in the process.
Because I know that folding and putting the clothes away in those drawers would be a fruitless endeavor, I've gotten a bit lazy with the kids laundry.
Monday night, I decided to do something about it - something to tide me over until I could have my husband assist me with moving some furniture around for a more permanent solution.
I had two cute helpers. First, we sorted the laundry by owner - one basket for each of the kids. Then I folded each kid's laundry and put it in their basket.
I stored the baskets in the crib (which is not currently being used) with the clothes in them from the bottom three drawers of the dresser.
EDIT: This solution worked well until the kids decided to take the screws of the crib (they're too smart for their own good, I know) and climbed up into the crib to get the laundry baskets out to play with them.
