Wanted: Spiritual Running Partners

This morning, I put a tweet out: "I'll be starting a #6060 challenge in the next few weeks... anybody interested in joining me? DM for details. Pls RT!"

I got a bite. And she's joining me!

Would you like to join me?

Soul Revolution: How Imperfect People Become All God IntendedWhat is the challenge?
One of the books I'm reading for class over the next few weeks is Soul Revolution, by John Burke.  In the book, he challenges his readers to take the 60/60 challengeTouching base with God at least once each sixty minutes for sixty days.  As part of the class, I'm required to do the challenge and to report/journal my journey.

What's this got to do with you?
I want to invite you, my readers, to join me in this challenge.  I'll be blogging about my experience with the challenge, using the questions/discussion topics at the end of each chapter.  My invitation to you is to take the challenge, responding to my posts with your thoughts and experience with the journey.

How does the 60/60 challenge work? (These are taken from the book.)
1.  Get a watch with a count-down timer, or some other means of reminder that will beep or interrupt you every sixty minutes.  You can also make "Re: 60-60" stickers to put on your watch, computer, or rearview mirror as reminders.  The more reminders the better.
2. The goal is an ongoing, minute-by-minute conversation of willingness with God.  You will fail more than you succeed, and that's why you need the reminders.  So every hour or every time you're reminded, remember God is with you, and re-engage in conversation with him.

Each time I post, I'll give you suggestions (from the book) of things to think on or pray about during each of these re-connections with God.

If you're willing to do the 60/60 challenge with me, fill out the form below.

We'll start the challenge on Sunday, March 28th. I'll post again with instructions for the first week the week before.

You can also follow my experience on Twitter by searching for the hashtag #sixty60.
