Praying for naps...
I really don't have anything to say today. I'm tired. My kids are refusing to take naps for the second day in a row (although David finally fell asleep when I moved Jenny to the pack'n'play in our room). And I have to have enough energy to go teach Bible study in two hours. Right now I feel like I'm going to cry (but don't worry - I don't actually know how to cry). I think I'm about to break my "no caffeine today" goal. I really need something to perk me up. I was thinking about running to Taco Bell on my way to Bible study for a big Mountain Dew, but it's not exactly on the way to church. Maybe I'll stop at the Shell station (since it is on the way) and get something from their fountain pop machine.
I'm excited about Bible study tonight. I'm hoping to do some "hands on" teaching (using the whiteboard, if I can find markers and if somebody hasn't removed it), and I'm excited to see how it goes. I spent most of the afternoon/evening yesterday working on my lesson plan. I ended up just typing it in "paper format", which ended up being seven pages long, in order to make sense of everything I'd discovered while studying the two verses we're talking about tonight. Hopefully my teaching method will work and we'll be able to have a good discussion about these verses and the applications to our lives. I'm not sure if I'm going to use this method every week, since most weeks we'll be looking at larger chunks of Colossians (we're following the break up of Colossians in Be Complete, doing one chapter from the book each week), but I'm excited about teaching in this manner tonight!
Since Jenny is still not sleeping, I think I'm going to go ahead and get her bath done so she can eat supper before we leave in a little over an hour. I think we're probably having cereal again... we tend to eat a LOT of cereal in our house!
