"An Eye for An Eye", by Irene Hannon
This book is the second in a series by Irene Hannon, "Heroes of Quantico". However, even as part of a series, this book stands alone and is a story that will draw you in from the first chapter.
I have to laugh at the comment on the back cover from Dee Henderson: "I found someone who writes romantic suspense better than I do." Before reading this book, and then again as I was reading it, I was continually reminded of the similarities to Dee Henderson's books (which I love).
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and at times I even forgot that I was reading it in order to write a review on it! It was a quick and easy read, but full of suspense, love, and intrigue.
The main characters, Mark and Emily, are reunited after twenty years of silence, but under less than ideal circumstances. One of them is the target of a killer, but which one is unknown. As they search for clues to the killer, their romance from their teen years is once again fresh in each of their minds. Will they find the killer before he succeeds in killing? Will they pick up where they left off 20 years ago? Will Mark turn back to God?
Be sure to pick up this book and find out the answers!
