I'm going sailing...

...Garage Sale-ing that is.

It's been a garage sale prep day at our house. I've been really bad the past couple of weeks about keeping up with my "schedule" to get everything ready EARLY, so I'm not running around like crazy the last couple of days. So today, I sat down with my list/schedule and took inventory of what I've done and what I still need to do, made an updated list and got to work. I managed to get my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom done in less than an hour. The only rooms I have left to finish are the kids' room (their clothes), the front closet (might take awhile), and the living room (DVDs, nicknacks, etc). My den is looking a little frazzled - my MIL had glanced in there when they were here a couple weeks ago and mentioned it when I was talking to her on the phone this week. Hopefully I'll be able to get through the rest of the house this week and start to make some order of the stuff I've picked out for the sale - it's currently in piles with no rhyme or reason.

I'm getting in the GS mood. I've been driving around town the past couple of weekends, seeing signs out for people having sales. We've even driven past a few sales. But I haven't stopped at any yet, and I haven't been looking in the paper for the sales. I'm trying to wait until AFTER our sale to "spend money" at other sales. Plus, our profits are going towards our trip to Delaware to visit my brother and sister-in-law in June. And to help pay for our portable DVD players we bought for the trip. What did we use to use to keep little kids entertained on long trips??

This post is probably getting random, since I'm doing way too many other things while I'm trying to write it... I've been updating our family's blog and talking on the phone and watching the kiddos play, plus my brain is going one-hundred miles a minute right now (and my allergies are clouding it up). So, I think I'm going to go do something else productive.
